강조는 특정한 정보를 더 두드러지게 하는 표현입니다.

강조 방법 구조 예문
It is ~ that 강조구문 It is + 강조할 말 + that It was Tom that broke it.
동사 강조 do/does/did + 원형 I do love you.
what 강조 What + 절 + is What I need is rest.
명사 강조 the very This is the very book.
재귀대명사 강조 oneself I did it myself.

1. It is ~ that 강조구문

강조할 말을 It is와 that 사이에 넣습니다.

문장: Tom met Jin at the park yesterday.

강조 대상 문장
주어 It was Tom that met Jin at the park yesterday.
목적어 It was Jin that Tom met at the park yesterday.
장소 It was at the park that Tom met Jin yesterday.
시간 It was yesterday that Tom met Jin at the park.

who, which, when, where

강조 대상에 따라 that 대신 쓸 수 있습니다.

과거의 일은 It was, 현재의 일은 It is입니다.

가주어 구문과의 구분

It is와 that을 지우고 강조된 말을 제자리로 돌렸을 때 문장이 완성되면 강조구문입니다.

문장 It is, that을 지운 뒤 구문
It is Tom that broke it. Tom broke it. (완성) 강조구문
It is true that he left. true he left. (불완전) 가주어 구문

부정과 의문

형태 예문
부정 It wasn't Tom that broke it.

의문 Was it Tom that broke it?
의문사 What was it that broke?
not until It was not until 2020 that I moved.

2. 동사 강조

do, does, did + 동사원형으로 '정말로'를 나타냅니다.

시제 예문 뜻
현재 I do want to go. 나는 정말 가고 싶다.
3인칭 단수 She does know him. 그녀는 그를 정말 안다.
과거 I did call you. 나는 분명히 전화했다.
명령문 Do come in. 어서 들어오세요.

3. 명사, 부정, 의문사의 강조

부정 강조

의문사 강조

틀린 문장 맞는 문장 이유
It is yesterday that I met him. It was yesterday that I met him. 과거의 일입니다.
It was Tom that he broke it. It was Tom that broke it. 주어를 다시 쓰지 않습니다.
I do loved you. I did love you. do 뒤에는 원형을 씁니다.
She does knows him. She does know him. does 뒤에는 원형을 씁니다.
What at earth is this? What on earth is this? on earth입니다.
It was at 2020 that I moved. It was in 2020 that I moved. 연도에는 in을 씁니다.
I'm at all not tired. I'm not tired at all. at all은 문장 끝에 둡니다.
